George Carty is an associate attorney whose practice focuses on civil litigation, including maritime and personal injury matters.
Before entering the legal profession, George served for nine years in the United States Air Force in Security Forces and as the Deputy Program Manager for the Phoenix Raven program. During his military career, George was deployed to combat environments where he led physical security operations for embassy evacuations, prisoner transports, humanitarian aid missions, and the protection of US military aircraft and aircrews. His service took him to over 80 countries across six continents where he regularly assessed security threats, briefed military commanders, and provided security in support of the Director of the CIA and members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
After leaving the Air Force, George earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Politics from Penn State University in 2023, with a focus in homeland security. He began his legal education at DePaul University College of Law, where he finished his first year in the top ten percent of his class before transferring to the University of Miami School of Law.
While attending DePaul, George worked as a law clerk with the Domestic Violence Division of the Will County State's Attorney's Office, where he assisted with criminal proceedings.
George graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 2026. At Miami Law, he developed a particular interest in litigation and advocacy. He received CALI Excellence for the Fure Awards in legal writing and for his work in the Environmental Justice Clinic, as well as the Director's Book Award for his performance in Litigation Skills. Through the Environmental Justice Clinic, George gained practical experience working on environmental advocacy and litigation related to Clean Water Act enforcement and stormwater regulation to keep Miami's watersheds safe and clean.
George's path from military service to the practice of law is grounded in preparation, discipline, and the ability to perform under pressure.
Outside of work, George enjoys Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, surfing, and traveling with his wife.
