Lauren is a lifetime Miami resident and an accomplished litigator. She practices civil litigation and has handled cases in both state and federal court with experience in complex maritime injury, wrongful death, sexual assaults, liability for alcohol service cases, boating accidents, physical assaults, negligent security, injuries on cruise ships, premise liability, and medical malpractice. Lauren’s particular focus is in the areas of negligent security, premises liability, and international torts. Thanks to her trial experience in federal court, Lauren has litigated countless cases with trial strategy in mind.
Lauren is an experienced attorney, with over five years of experience in the maritime field and in resolving complex matters for a variety of clients. She is dedicated to achieving the best possible results for her clients, no matter where a case may take her. Prior to joining Mase Seitz Briggs, Lauren worked as a summer associate in a litigation firm doing both commercial litigation on the defense side and representing plaintiffs in complex personal injury and wrongful death cases.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree and pre-law certificate, with honors, from Florida International University, Lauren went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While studying at the University of Florida, Lauren was an Executive Articles Editor for the Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy, as well as a member of the Cuban American Bar Association. Lauren also handled her own case load of juvenile-interest cases as a Certified Legal Intern at the Virgil Hawkins Civil Clinic on UF’s campus. She represented clients in adoptions, placements, and delinquency.

Blue Martini failed to properly check his identification and verify his age, and served him copious amounts of alcohol. After leaving the bar and while walking back to his dorm intoxicated, he was hit by a car while attempting to cross a street in the wee hours of the morning, suffering a traumatic brain injury (TBI).
The Southwest Florida Area Local-American Post Workers’ Union in Fort Myers, Florida was not given work they were promised and was owed back-pay. The United States Postal Service refused to pay and we brought a suit on behalf of the union.
A man engaged in non-consensual sexual relations with another man and his girlfriend. Unbeknownst to our client, the man had a sexually transmitted disease, which our client contracted. We brought a claim for failing to disclose his medical condition and obtained a confidential pre-suit multimillion dollar settlement of over $4,000,000.
