Ethan Copeland is an associate attorney with a focus on civil litigation, including maritime and serious personal injury cases.
A son of an educator, Ethan grew up in the Midwest before moving to Florida to attend the University of Miami School of Law and become a part of Miami’s vibrant community.
He began clerking with the firm in the summer of 2024. After passing the July 2025 Florida Bar Exam, he joined the firm as an associate.
Ethan earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame in 2020, where he played varsity baseball and was named to the ACC Honor Roll. He is also a member of the University of Notre Dame Monogram Club. Throughout his undergraduate experience, Ethan was active with community service organizations, including Notre Dame Fight for Life and 'Our Bucks.'
At the University of Miami School of Law, he graduated cum laude, served as a staff editor for the Race and Social Justice Law Review, and received honors in the Litigation Skills Pretrial Program. He was also an active member of the First Generation Law Student Association, as well as its mentorship program.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing chess, watching sports, learning Spanish, and spending time with friends.





Blue Martini failed to properly check his identification and verify his age, and served him copious amounts of alcohol. After leaving the bar and while walking back to his dorm intoxicated, he was hit by a car while attempting to cross a street in the wee hours of the morning, suffering a traumatic brain injury (TBI).
The Southwest Florida Area Local-American Post Workers’ Union in Fort Myers, Florida was not given work they were promised and was owed back-pay. The United States Postal Service refused to pay and we brought a suit on behalf of the union.
A man engaged in non-consensual sexual relations with another man and his girlfriend. Unbeknownst to our client, the man had a sexually transmitted disease, which our client contracted. We brought a claim for failing to disclose his medical condition and obtained a confidential pre-suit multimillion dollar settlement of over $4,000,000.
