A well-known car dealership in Miami, Florida charged consumers an “estimated tag fee” which exceeded the cost to the dealer of the actual tag fee. We filed a class action lawsuit for violation of the Florida Deceptive and Fair Trade Practices Act. After the class was certified, the dealership settled, agreeing to refund affected consumers the excess amounts which it had improperly kept.
