Victor Pelaez has extensive experience practicing in various areas of civil litigation, with an emphasis on matters involving complex business disputes and international litigation. He has handled numerous multi-million dollar lawsuits on behalf of well-known, multi-national corporations, banks, and real estate developers dealing with a wide variety of different subjects including—to name a few—breach of contract, business torts, copyright infringement, and compliance with state and federal laws.

Victor is fluent in Spanish and has vast experience handling both domestic and cross-border litigation matters for Latin American corporations and individuals. He has represented clients in state court matters throughout all of Florida and has litigated federal court matters in the U.S. District Courts for Miami, New York, Los Angeles, San Juan, and Boston. Victor has also represented clients in appellate matters before Florida’s Third and Second District Courts of Appeal and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Victor received his law degree in 2009 from the Florida International University College of Law, and in 2005 he graduated with honors from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a minor in Business Administration. Before joining Mase Mebane & Briggs, Victor spent his first five years as an attorney practicing complex commercial and international litigation.
